Role Title: Worship & Communications
Role Overview: To lead and develop the worship ministry and oversee the communications of Revelation Church.
Purpose: To ensure the worship ministry of our church is flourishing, and our teams are equipped to and ready to lead the church in worship. To oversee effective communications with both church members and those outside the church.
Location:
Monday-Friday: Revelation Church office in Manchester, occasional working from home.
Sunday: Church venue (The Powerhouse, M14 4SL)
Responsible to: Lead Pastor
Start date: ASAP. To be agreed with successful applicant.
Closing date for applications: 5pm on 29 July 2025
Terms and Conditions:
37.5 hours per week
Working hours to include 5 hours on Sundays
Contract length: 2 years, subject to 3-month probationary period
Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 depending on experience
Pension: 4% employer contribution
Annual leave: 25 days per year

Core Responsibilities
Oversee leading and development of worship ministry
Develop the overall direction and strategy for our worship ministry, in line with the vision of the church.
Oversee the development of a culture of worship throughout all church life, and encourage our members in participation and growth in worship.
Oversee the communications of the church
Set direction for communication strategy - including methods of communication, regularity, tone of voice, language and style.
Work with administration staff to oversee a communication timetable for messaging to the church through various channels - Sunday notices / emails / WhatsApp / social media, etc.
Overall responsibility for production of graphics for physical and print media. This will include leading the volunteer media team for photo & video capture and graphic design.
Direct & oversee management of our online presence - social media & website.
Produce communication scripts for Sunday & home group spoken notices.
General Responsibilities
Team responsibilities
Attend weekly Staff Prayer and team meetings, including being on the rota to lead Staff Prayer occasionally
Participate in Strategy Team, the team with overall strategic leadership of the church. This includes regular team meetings and taking on strategy tasks outside the normal scope of your responsibilities.
Personal responsibilities
Participate in and contribute to regular line management meetings, including Annual Reviews
Commit to personal development through reading and training
Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required by this post holderManage your own workload in a timely and efficient manner
There is an expectation of embodying devotion to the person & teachings of Jesus Christ, to model a life of commitment to the Christian faith and of seeking to take initiative and responsibility in serving the vision of the church and those within the church family.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience profileRequired:
Experience of leading worship in church gatherings
Experience of developing and shaping people in your leadership
Experience in graphic production and design
Good number literacy
Skilled in use of graphic design software.
High level of musical ability.
Able to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
Comfortable to communicate to large groups (100+).
Able to engage and teach in small groups
Strong written, spoken and presentational skills
Good and active listener
Empathetic and adept at facilitating sensitive or uncomfortable conversations
Creative problem solver
Reliable & punctual
Self-starter and with proven ability to manage own priorities
Proven ability to deliver to deadlines and manage competing demands
A good team player
Willingness to learn and grow
Evidence of significant growth in personal discipleship
Desirable:
Experience of leading through team
Experience of pastoral leadership in church
Experience equipping and releasing new leaders
Experience in managing online presence (website, social media, etc.)
Familiar with Google Workspace suite of programmes
Thrives within a flexible working pattern
Occupational Requirements
There is an Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a practicing Christian who agrees with our vision and values (www.revelationchurchmanchester.co.uk).
The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
